Destiny for the Gods
Blasted sixteen years into the future, Sheenyana finds a war-torn world where Shogoto is dead and Kyontawa is ruled by a ruthless new Queen-Ruler—Sheenyana’s own daughter, Ree (now called Reegami, age 22), whose powers are twice that of Sheenyana’s. In sixteen years of absence (when, for Sheenyana and Xionko, only a few hours have past), Princess Xionko has lost her father and missed her accession to the Throne—thrusting Sheenyana between two loved ones in a potentially deadly struggle for power. Guided by psychic dreams, Reegami has marched a massive Kyontawa army across a continent to Kishiyo’s ancient city, in an emotional search for her mother (not expecting to find Xionko, as well). After being responsible for the death of Ree’s father, now Sheenyana may have to face her own daughter to protect Xionko—who isn’t interested in Sheenyana’s protection, and is more than willing to fight for her birthright—even against a highly skilled warrior queen with god-like powers.
But internal struggles must be set aside, when an all-powerful alien force, which destroyed Kishiyo’s civilization, returns to finish the job. Sheenyana discovers her true destiny, as three Kyontawa women, divided by honor, united by blood, join together to save all humankind—on their world—and Earth.

The film is also true to the Kyontawa culture as described by the author. In the short story (as in the film) Sheenyana falls in love with one of the astronaut Visitors, but faces a horrible duty when her visions foretell a coming danger from her lover’s planet. However, the short story never actually (CONTINUED…) |
